What drone are you trying to fly with DJI Pilot?

Mine is Phantom 3 SE

does 3.1.26 work ?   camera view ?  crashing ?   many are reporting problems

no crashing , stable , but im using FCC in Spain ... using CE all are app crashes , signal lost advices ...and lot of problems.

FCC still the best.............full power transmit.. gear up and fly safe but now concern is any software to diagnose our AC motors + Systems Pre Check onboard b4 we take it out to fly.......
awaiting DJI results.........

I don't get what you're talking about, mine has had Device name setting since i bought it in June, no news there.

KedDK, Device Name is a feature of IOS DJI GO and IOS/Android DJI GO 4. The Android DJI GO does not have this option in the earlier time.

in CE all are problems

I REPEAT : all app crashes , all constant signal lose advices ... are gone ... NOW I CAN TAKE MY BIRD TO ALMOST 4 KILOMETERS WITHOUT PROBLEMS ...

now the GPS ABOVE screen is always green

.... PD : i did not modificate any antenna , or hardware

I believe the App in GL300E is an android app and that had the device name setting implemented already before June so wondering why it would a new feature in the common Android app?

GO / App in no way makes range better ... all it does is give you video view / telemetry info and a GUI to touch control your AC.

Range is totally dependent on RC to AC communications and environment its operating in. The only time APP affects range is when you don't have it running and FW will then restrict range to 50m radius.

GL300E uses the DJI GO 4 version, and the APP we mentioned here is the DJI GO(the drone before Phantom 4).

there are two methods .. one i faking The GPS with an app , another is using Russian Mod that swith it automatic .... i used both and both run .... Im actually using 2 nd method

and indeed it helps me to unleash the SE beast within................ wahhahahaha..but the test flight will be 2 weeks later..i am busy with my work ,businesses and events....hard to cope with...esp with my daughter's studies.......

Nigel, this modified app tells the UAS that it needs to be flown according to the FCC standards. A handy programmer has seen a chance to implement these modifications. I think the app's copyright is ignore for this moment here.

Hey, is that why i couldnt use the app properly the other day, cause my phone is rooted to install android 7 on it???? i can understand Banking apps not liking it but and RC model drone app, now that does take the mickey.....

The fake gps, does that not mess up the mess within dji go? i.e. says you are in the fake location (USA)

as long as you fly responsibility ... cos FCC does give u a beast instead of CE ..

No, after you have told your configuration that you are in FCC-area, it switches to this setting. Then you use DJI Go 3.1.8 (just the legal version) and this determines that you are at your current location.

But DJI Go 3.1.8 does not have the possibility to put you back in CE mode. So, you will fly in CE-area with the 'power' of the FCC-mode. What you are going to miss are the updates between 3.1.8 and 3.1.26 (for what they are worth).

I may not agree with all DJI's policies ... but one thing I am not going to do - is play with fake patches.

With my P3S - I had great success with Icarus, which allowed me to set the levels of transmission.

Later when I got the P3P ... I fell for the step back FW and even though I followed EXACTLY to the letter - the instructions. I ended up with a bricked P3P. It basically blew the board.

What is happening here is the same thing you did with Icarus. It fits the levels of transmission in both cases.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say the fake gps wont work for the P4P due to the go 4 app?
I have the gps app and i am now in the USA but then comes the map issue lol

There are better solutions for the DJI Go 4 users. Google is also your friend.

been there tried that,  not wrote the book yet tried the config method using an older Go 4, failed, all i am after is a bit more power so that i dont get break up, not after distance

If you are in the US, then it should be automatically using the FCC settings.
