I noticed the DJI GO 4 app was updated in the Play store with support for Mavic Air.  In the Play Store, it still says the version number is 4.1.22, but when I installed it, the version number is 4.2.4.

There is a new splash screen showing the Mavic Air.

I eagerly connected up my phone with the OTG cable, but no joy.  Same issue with the battery voltage and telemetry being unavailable.

It'll be interesting to see if android works with the Air when the first folks get it, that could cause a bit of a stir..

Do you have Android? Some are reporting OTG works with IOS with the new release. No love for Android continues DJI???

Hmmm, I'm still stuck on the previous version, the play store doesn't show any updates for me yet.

I have both, but this thread is about the Android version (see topic).

I had high hopes for the Android version because IOS version 4.2.4 is working with OTG on my iPad Mini 4.

You would have to downgrade to 4.1.5...i did it on my andriod and have the lastest on my ipad...4.1.5 has telemtry info

It doesn't demonstrate great customer care to disadvantage many of your customers based on the mobile phone they choose to use..

This is a known issue by DJI, in the Android version, OTG has been "disabled" for now ...
DJI support will tell you something like "Please use WiFi connection instead, at the moment we do not support OTG for Spark, we are working to make this possible".
Unfortunally, as we, spark Users, know ... WiFi connection is not as reliable as OTG (for now)

Ok, leaving my whining aside, you can do this:

This is the last version with everything working perfectly with OTG. (Batt Info, Telemetry, Vertical Speed, Height, QuickShot modes, etc)

I'm running 4.4.15 with OTG cable and love the video response. However,  I cannot see the number of satellites in the satellite icon. There appears to be numbers but they are too far to the left or superimposed over the satellite icon. Anyone else see this condition?

Funny, that update fixed my OTG on Spark, still hasn't updated the remote so maybe is that .....

Are you running the app on Android? Because what we hear from IOS'ser out there the OTG is fixed for iPhones/iPad/ixyz, but not for Android.

To be clear in what your saying the otg is working with the latest App version and FW on IOS?

I can't confirm this because I don't own an Apple product, but if you look at various posts they say exactly that.

Just to be clear (i'm considering buying a spark),   the restrictions are purely on a software (app on phone) level?  Doesn't make a difference if firmware on spark etc has been upgraded to the latest version?  Does it not check for latest version when you start the app up? (i saw a video of someone opening the app and it seemed to do some version checking) ie would it not prompt to upgrade?

what other (negative) differences would using the old OTG supported app  over the latest one bring?
