I need some help to 'revive' my H3-3D gimbal on a Phantom 2.

Originally I was having a problem with the gimbal not pointing straight and level, and after looking for a solution I finally came across several videos online showing how to reset the gimba by bridging two specific gold pins on the gimbal itself. So I bridged the two gold pins as instructed and everything seemed to go just as it was supposed to happen...until I realized the H3-3D gimbal had disappeared completely and there's no hint of it in the 'Upgrade' window of the Phantom 2 Assistant.

All I know is that bridging (or 'shorting') the two gold pins in the P2 Assistant software seems to have done something that has caused the H3-3D gimbal to disappear completely. It no longer appears to even exist as far as the Phantom 2 Assistant software is concerned.

So, what do I need to do to get the H3-3D to be recognized again?
