Before you watch I just want to reiterate that I knew the possibilities and take full responsibility for what had happened.  Nobody was hurt, injured or effected by this except for me.  I made this video to remind people of the possible dangers that could come from flying a drone no matter how experienced you are.  I just want to say that we will be back soon! so please subscribe and hopefully within the next few weeks we'll have the Mavic version 2!

Thanks and happy flying!!!!

Bummer. Rain is no good huh?

I honestly don't think it was the rain considering there was a 30 minute point from when I wrecked until I retrieved it and the drone itself still turned on.  I think and DJI is currently looking into the flight logs, but when it disconnected I believe something happened whether it was wind or just a freak accident.  Either way, it was a sad day and I'm currently hoping to resolve ASAP!

Yeah agree, crashes happens even to the best of pilots but once you mentioned 'dizzy' that would've been my 'red flag'. I wouldn't have taken that chance.

Not clear how far away he was from Drone...
At 2.4/5.8Ghz you can get Rain Fade of rf signals, depending on density/angles it can attenuate signals significantly.
Given RF power on drones is very low, does not take much to affect it.

You can actually calculate it, it is something that wireless link providers have to overcome "Link Budget"

Lots of contradictions here.  If you had permission and access, while were you flying from over 1/2 mile away?   How did you plan to keep line of sight on the drone at that distance, especially when you intentionally descended into the track area on the far side of the bleachers?

Wouldn't it be obvious that a racetrack would be full of radio interference, from wifi surveilance cameras to shop cameras to wifi at vending sites, sounds systems,  and communications to cars?

When your drone lost signal why didn't it RTH?

Ouch! Hope you're able to get flying again soon. I've had mine in the air every day since it arrived, but yesterday and today it's been raining and it's agony.

Are you and i the only ones that see through this load of crap? Where's his contract with the race track? 3000' away and didn't heed the warnings? No part 107 pilot would do that....unless he's not a part 107 pilot lol Probably needs more views on his uboob channel yup yup
