Hmmm.... Probably not recommended though...

Should be better than P2 since four arms now contain cable only without any electronic boards, and separated by compartment as usual.

Absolutely not recommended.  I have flown in light snow but not in rain or heavy snow.  When you get yours you can make the decision.

That looked like heavy rain in the video. If you can see the rain on video, it is pretty heavy. I did not expect them to fly outside but there they were at the end with everyone and about $10,000 in drone hardware getting soaked.

I will absolutely not fly mine in the rain and risk breaking the drone, the gimbal AND the camera (none of which are waterproof as far as I know).

I think they "sacrified" a P3 that day...

I was wondering the same thing about flying my new Phantom 3 in the rain.
And so I did a quick search and found this product and service...

Not sure about the camera getting this treatment, but for the quad , it would seem like a great investment...
What do the experts here and more experienced pilots think about this idea, of waterproofing the Phantom 3?

Liquipel does not offer drone waterproofing anymore.

Thanks for the update of info. I just now checked the date on the YouTube vid and it was two years old.
Things do change over time. There must be other moisture barrier methods...

Anyway, I guess there are still other options for those that must dare fly over or near water....

I would not try, but it is a good idea to protect your phantom just in case.  GotaChip is a product that can be easily applied and prevents water damage and corrosion.See the link:
