Is anybody else having this problem? Bought the racing goggles along with the mavic air only to find out it doesn't work . Very annoying

The RE Goggles should work with a Mavic Air.  What issue are you having?  How are you attempting to connect? Do you have the latest goggle firmware installed?

The latest firmware is installed and connected with the provided wire.

I took it to DJI Shanghai and they were able to get my mavic air working with the white goggles, but their store display (updated) Google's re also could not connect to my maviv air.

Is anybody else having this issue?

I'm having the same problem. I've got both Goggles (original and RE) the original's work fine but when you plugin the RE it shows the info but has no picture. The last update for the RE Goggles was on the 18/12/2017 so I'm expecting an update to fix this issue.

That's extremely disappointing on DJIs part.

EXACT same issue. RE Goggles and Mavic Air all on latest firmware. RE Goggles work great on my P4 but no video with Mav Air. Shows connected and even shows horizon changes if I move the aircraft. Just no video. Please address ASAP.

Update:

Just got a call from DJI Shanghai. Apparently there has been a new firmware added to allow the sync (with a cable).

Will test when I get home tonight and update you all.

Hi Alan,

Check DJI Assistant 2 for the firmware update. There was one released Feb 1st.

However, this firmware update still does not work with DJI Goggles RE

There is no new firmware available to me on DJI Assistant 2. Says I am current with V01.00.0100, 12/18/2017. What is the "new" version?

No new version on my system. Mine shows the same as yours.

I didn't see your post till after I posted mine. You're right the new update doesn't make any difference, surely it's the goggles that need updating and not the drone. Hopefully DJI will sort this out soon.

DJI strikes again


Selling people a 1000$ drone, with 500$ goggles, and they don't work. Brand new out of the box, newest tech, and it doesn't work. Another DJI disgrace.

They are only selling the standard goggles with the drone, which by all accounts, seem to work. It's only the RE's that have this issue. Maybe they knew that and this is why there is no MA/RE bundle option. It's frustrating there is no comment from DJI about this yet.

I am glad I only spent about 6 hours trying to figure out my problem before I saw this post.  Would it be too terribly difficult  for DJI to post that kind of notification in an obvious place?

Would also like a time frame when update for the RE goggles will be out. Would have thought this would have been posted before DJI took orders. Also would like to know how to use both device and goggles at the same time

Yes, I agree completly. Please provide an expected firmware update time frame.

I already sold my Mavic air and will likely sell the racing goggles soon.

Have there been any updates?  Does it work now, or will it in the future?
