Agreed That's why I put "for those who dare!"  I haven't jumped on the wagon for the MA yet, I will wait until it's on the shelf @ Best Buy, and another bit of info, If you buy at BB they now have a 15% restocking fee if you decide to return any drones purchased from them. Asked the Drone guy there why and off the top of his head he said because half of them sold get returned within the first 15 days of purchase!!

Yea, too many people are promised the world, then get the drone home and it wont preform as advertised. Seems to be a constant with DJI.

I’m not sure if anyone above has even flown the Mavic Air yet, but I’ll bet not.

Got mine today and took it out despite sustained 25mph winds and gusts up to 60. Windy day here!

It was ROCK SOLID. Did some low level maneuvering and some higher altitude photo/video. Tested all the Quickshots too.

The drone held position perfectly, and the images were perfect. Sorry to disappoint!

Wouldn't call that a disappointment, more like a good thing !

I flew it today and it did amazingly well for the size.  It was 25-30 gusts, now sport mode would have helped but yeah it fought the wind.   Video and photo looked good though.

For the record,  I wasn't saying it wont fight wind well. It will. I am saying with the short battery life, and high winds, you wont be able to venture far. In fact, I wouldn't take that thing out farther than a football field in those winds. Just asking for trouble.

Yes, mine too operated wonderfully in sustained wind, no issues at all......time will tell.

I flew my Air in interesting conditions yesterday.
Took off in about 10mph winds, I flew for a vertical shot, higher than I normally would. The winds aloft, increased. I couldn’t guess what the wi da were, but full forward on normal mode would make ,y drone drift backwards, full forward on sport mode, would keep my drone in place.

Thankfully I noted the wind variations, and immediately started descending while applying full forward in sport mode. Slowly, as the wind speed changed with the altitude, the Drone started advancing. I made it back without issues, but it is the first time I have trouble with the wind.

I flew yesterday with a 30 to 35 mph crosswind coming off a lake and I had to fight it some to keep it on a straight line but I will say I wasn’t disappointed at all, matter of fact I was impressed

I'll take that bet!  I got mine January 28, and flew that day   Also have seen great performance in high winds since.  Had it out it in 25 mph sustained with occasional gusts to 30mph.  Handled very well, although you could see a little movement in the video with the gusts -- as would be expected given the specs.

That is a LOT of negative feedback!

Eh, all the negative reviews I've read so far are regarding the online store and refund /return /replace customer service experience. I could have told you that getting service and ordering from a company based in China would be problematic. Tell me about the drone. That's what your review should be based on, not the "seller". Obviously this information will be helpful (to reinforce my assumptions) and ensure that I purchase in the US from a reputable retailer and possibly even purchase a warranty or replacement insurance policy locally from, say, Best Buy or some such. But I'm most concerned with reviews on the actual product; if it flies well in wind, battery life, capabilities against advertised claims, etc. Reviews should always delineate between product and seller, like eBay does. A stellar product might mistakenly be rated 1 star because the foreign overseas online store sucks for customers in the US. And that seems to be exactly what's happening on "trustpilot"...
