I'm unsure how to decode the serial number but whats the rest of the bird look like? What concerns you to think it may/may not be V2?

inside the battery compartment reads inspire 1 t600, yet seller states it's a v2.  serial number should verifiy if it v1 or v2

ive read some early model V2s still had the T600 the FCC ID should also end in 1510, but again some early V2 still had the old 1410 stickers in the battery tray.

it should have 3510H on the top edge of the motors, an the x5 vibration board. otherwise theres not really much of a difference beside the carbon fiber pattern between the two

W13DCK11050653 was built 1 Dec 2015 -> so says DJI Serial Decoder

My Inspire 1 Pro (v2) likewise has the original T600 model but is a V2 from DJI ordered in early Jan 2016.
Mine was supposedly built 2 Dec 2015 for what it's worth ;-)

There are v1 upgraded to v2. I have done so for mine. So it really is not whether it is a real v2. Does it have every bits that qualify as v2.

I just checked my I1 V2 Black Edition serial on there and it too said Built 0 Dec 2015.  and mine has the new style CF arms, V2.0 T601 and FCC ID 1510

but likewise i built a V2 clone and its serial number says 1 Oct 2015
Curious too my V2 serial starts with W21AC, where my other 4 that I've owned started with W13DC.... you think that W1 could be a version one? and W2 is version 2 serial? cause i know for a fact my other 4 are all V1. How does your V2 serial start??

You may be on to something there -> mine is W21AC also! Thanks for the info.

I do believe that DJI initiated the v2 producton by retrofitting some of their v1 inventory so if we're correct, there will still be some W13 v2s out there....

I'd be cautious with what DJI says. Those serial numbers are stickers and easily removed and placed on any unit.

For instance, I sent in a Version 2 drone for repair and was sent a Version 1 inspire, where they removed the S/N off my crashed drone and stuck it on this refurbished unit and claimed it to be a Version 2.0.

Go onto the official DJI store TODAY and purchase a brand new Inspire 1 V2.0 - it will be a T600 model! I bought mine brand new from an authorised dealer here in the UK in July this year and it's a T600 too - the V2.0 icon shows on my profile on here. The drone has the X5 gimbal vibration board, 3510H motors, 1345T props and V2.0 written on the stickers on the case.

Having owned many Inspire V1 and V2's (around 20) I can confirm that it is close to impossible to actually verify anything for sure. I believe that the V2 was a knee jerk reaction by DJI when sales started to lag slightly. They did small internal upgrades throughout the life of the Inspire 1. Some people refer to this as Version A B and C.

These are the ways that some people report on being able to tell... All are incorrect because they are followed by 'sometimes'
They printed the letter H on top of the motors - (this is true for the very later models but not the earlier models)
They printed 'T601' in the battery tray - This for sure is a V2 but it doesn't mean if you have a T600 this is NOT a V2, as they only did this at the end of the production run.
The old camo style of carbon fibre as opposed to cross stitch. - DJI confirmed they used all three types throughout their production run.
The writing on top of the motors.... This was changed during the first quick release propellor mount release - If you have these as standard then you've got a V1
The motors look identical from the outside. in shape. The newer propellor mount makes the motors look deeper but take the propellor mount off and they are the same.

Back in the day, I bought a Phantom 2 Vision 3. They said it had bigger better motors in it but it turned out they had fitted the stronger motors to the original ESC boards with thinner wires... A disaster waiting to happen.

Having flown many Inspire 1 V1 and V2's side by side I can confirm that 99% of people would have no idea what they are flying. Neither one was noticeably faster than the other side by side...  The only model that was really worked on was the T601 State side as that had higher output levels between the remote and the video link.

Don't forget, In 2015, this technology was really quite in it's youth still... The Inspire, whichever version you own is a fantastic machine. I have never had any of the units fail on me. They are like an old landrover... They aren't the fastest drone out there but they will keep on and on going...

The baseplate of the battery compartment on mine is printed not stickered and clearly states in the upper right hand corner Inspire 1 V2.0 Model T601
