I was doing a "pullout" from a tree at the shore using Sports mode full speed. Worked well.
Then decided to do a high-speed sweep over the lake - which turned out not to be flat, so I crashed into the ice at full speed. Since the ice was veeery thin I was ready to abandon the drone but nevertheless I decided to risk my life to get the drone and the memory card back!
Incredibly enough it had only broken of the 2 front props but eaten a lot of snow. In the video you can see it lying on it´s back doing the “dance” for more than 60 seconds. Brought it home cleaned it up and put some new props on and now it´s flying like it never happened. The drone didn’t have a single scratch. That´s DJI engineering for you right there folks!
really cool pics - so glad your mavic lives on. its a great feeling when you go looking for your drone thinking for sure its gone and then BOOM next thing it is there in front of your eyes - for some moments you cant believe it - :-0
