Hello guys,

I have the original battery(plus 3 more) and suddenly I notice this: Battery shows errors and I get constant compass error with it. I treated the battery the same way as the rest, and only this has some issues. It happened after the firmware update - I had one normal flight than I charged it, and now I get these errors - I had 1 flight to deplete the battery below 5% as advised and now I'm to afraid to take off with these errors. Should I return it to my dealer?

If the battery life or health is less than 100% I would not use it any more!!! Something is wrong and it looks like a faulty battery. Ask for a replacement immediately!!!!!

But what I just noticed is that you voltages on each cell are consistent....so why is the battery health indicator telling you that it is 98%? Does't make much sense to me

I don't think there is something wrong with the battery life. I had like 98% when I took the screenshot, so I guess it shows the percentage, not the wear out of the battery.

First time I got this error, I discharged the battery in the inspire 1 to 4% and put it on charger. Next time I Used it I got the same error, plus it's switching between  Compass error/Safe to fly(GPS) when the motors are launched. I'm to afraid to take off. I tried calibrating the compass/IMU but I get the same error with this battery only

Thanks for telling me to read the manual (Sarcasm)....His battery is still new and should not be at 98% after 36 recharges.

Well I need to return some batteries then. I'll post a separate thread as I have the same issue with it showing below 100%. Make sure you have the Firmware bin file on your SD card. The battery may just need to update. I read somewhere that it helps. I just leave the latest firmware bin file on my sd card all of the time.

Interesting though that you found out that the error is due to the battery ...
I am sure DJI would like to have a look at this battery!

This might be a stupid question but are you using the newest firmware that they released a little over two weeks ago???

Yes Yes! I updated to the latest firmware as soon as it came out. I updated all my batteries, I also saved the logs after updates, all batteries were updated successfully.

I will try to discharge-charge-discharge-charge again. I did this before once, but maybe it was not enough. Tomorrow afternoon I will have the time to do it. I will let you know if it solved anything.

My cellular voltage levels are in normal levels. What about yours?

ALSO: which battery? I'm having problems with the first one which came with the Inspire 1

I had some time finally to work with the batteries. I depleted my problematic battery again, down to 3%, than charged it and no problems now. Works as charm..

So try to discharge-charge-discharge-charge and you should be good to go..

I read that you should do this to batteries every 10 charge. Time to discharge the rest
