Don’t think there will be much problem with range on MavAir.

I watched this recently on YT - great vid and proves that in the right environment these drones do exactly what is says on the tin.

Agreed!  I haven't been in the right environment to test my range, yet, but I have flown LOS (barely - it's SMALL)  from my house (about 3/4 mile) without any problems.

^^I agree but it shows that Enhanced Wifi might be quite close to OcuSync at least in ability to deal with interferances

That would be a real eye opener, have to say video feed was excellent in all videos.

if it flew out in fast mode, am pretty sure it won't make it back anywhere close to where it took off..

I doubt that.
And doing the backflight in RTH or not in Sport isn't really a good idea.
Also double speed will not cost double battery!
But gets the job easily done.
