Good work... CS done. .. I’m just doing the Mavic now I’ll take her for a test in the morning

Offline maps are gone after update. How to get them back? Is there any workaround with other maps substitution?

Good timing!   Best Buy just down the road from me just got some MA's in stock and I have $1500 Cnd burning a hole in my pocket.
Just updated my CS and it went smooth.

update firmware mavic pro version 01.01.0300 today  ;)

Has anybody had any luck getting the maps after the update? The trick that used to work after a reset doesn't seem to work anymore.

I am not 100% sure the overheating problem has been solved on the CS Ultra, still very cautious on flying more than 1 battery on full brightness, it's still getting quite hot , 43c after 15minutes.

I don't care about the mavic air and I guess that (as usual) the addition of a new model has degraded the performances of the other   ...

I had no time for testing yet, it was evening when I got it. But I am happy that I can test it tomorrow or on Sunday with my Mavic Air, which until today was not possible. Then I'll let you know my views for sure.
But I am interested to learn why you consider the maps so important? Here in Europe we are obliged to fly in VLOS, I don't need a map to fly mine home.

If your interested in the high brightness 7.85 or the 5.5 then I think is ok to get those models

I've tested the Crystalsky Ultra with DJI Go 4.2.4 for 1.5 hours on full brightness and with the latest firmware for the AC, 3 full flights with the MPP, ambient temp 23c and there wasn't a single glitch in the monitor, this was 4k 24fps, with caching back to the CS at 7gb

The hottest the Ultra panel got on max brightness this time out was 41.5c , the side ports got to 38.6c and the back panel near the ports to 40c.
The CS fan never came on at all during the 1.5hrs and the temp was pretty consistent from about 15min from start up to the end. I am not sure what the normal operating temp of the CS Ultra is unfortunately. A funny thing though the RC fan was humming away after 30 minutes, when in previous longer flight sessions it never came on at all.

DJI Go 4 4.2.4 worked kinda flawlessly, there was no latency or pixelation at anytime in RC signal out or HD signal back, mind you I was using a Titan Cyclone 2.4ghz amplified panel. I think there is a little bit of an issue with the radar, not sure if it was pointing the right way

I think they may have fixed the overheating problem for now, my CS build date it the 15/10/17 for reference, a couple of us who have this build date have CS Ultra's that get hot but have never failed.

The only issue I would like to flag is that the fan does not come on, not sure if it has been disabled or set to come on at a higher temperature range, in comparison the fan in the RC was humming away after about 25mins into the session.

Interesting to see how the other CS Ultra owners are fairing with the new CS firmware and 4.2.4

Update went fine, all looks good. No flight time yet due to weather.

I did 3 Mavic Batteries & 2 Spark.

Outside temp 26c to 30 deg  Celsius

I had the Cashe off and brightness at 50%

Didn’t even feel like it was getting hot.

I’ll start to Crank it up next time I fly.

There are some bugs & fixes in I’ve found in the update.

I might put these on a seperate post later

Eg. on offline maps & in photo settings -  though over exposure warning selected  it does not work.

Good to know the heating issue is way down, lets put it under the pump next time and see how it fairs.
Looks like the only way to get around the maps issue is to hotspot the phone and connect the CS to it.

I ll make a test after tomorrow!! It rails a lot

Yes mate... I’ve only got an a Ultra.. I did have a 5.5 upgraded December

Two questions:
- What about the 4G dongles ?
- I'm wondering if all CS have the same hardware. Could you tell me what CPU has your CS ?  You can get it with CPU-Z

As soon as possible i m going to make some test:
- wifi home spot didn t work well.
- 4g dongle
- using 8 P4P batteries and see if it burns

So far after my fly today....

Would not connect via hotspot  IPhone X - Saying Authentication Error...I got out my old IPhone 7 changed sim work fine.
I could also hotspot from my IPad Mini 4 & IPad Pro 10.5

Over exposure warning won’t show on the screen .. though the box was marked.
It was on my Mavic. I spoke to someone else andthey reported  it worked on his P4P

I’ll try again tomorrow

- the compass does not work anymore

- sometimes the software dji go 4 crashes at startup

My CS Ultra has a Rockchip RK3066 1.61 ghz cpu

Tested today with the Inspire 1 Pro and DJIGo
The connection between the CS and the RC was extremely hard to get
After connection, I got:
Proximity sensor errors (that do not exist on the Inspire 1)
In flight:
Video feedback catastrophic
After about 20 seconds: 'Main RC failure' (!!)
After about 30s: 'DJI Go has stopped' . Appli crashed.
The Aircraft was at about 30 m
Tried to restart the CS several times. Tried to reset the CS several times...
DJIGo crashes continuously after few 10x seconds

It is the worst mess I have never seen.

Using the CS Ultra , 4.2.4 was rock solid with the MP and MA , no glitches, no errors, no latency, no pixelation.

I think they may not have tested on the Inspire Pro unfortunately , have you tried using Litchi 4.0.2 on the CS  ?

I tested it at home before the CS update, it worked fine.
The behaviour of the CS was so bad after the update, that I was afraid to crash the Inspire.
Seriously, I wonder if DJI tests the CS DJIGo version with the Inspire. It's crazy.

Is it possible to do a full factory reset of the CS ??

Sure You can If i remember correctly it is in settings> Backup and reset
