Help! So I recently had an impact with a small tree. Needless to say, after my Spark got caught in he branches, the tree won. It fell +/- 6 feet to the ground where 2 propellers fell off a motor and one was cracked. The drone is fine, I’m wondering if I can still safely use that battery, and what retail is for another battery.

Batteries are $47-$49 depending on where you buy them, if you have a cracked one it's best to not use it lithium batteries are tricky and potentially dangerous things when damaged.

Retail is about $50 , if you check battery for damage bulges etc, they are pretty sturdy so it could well be ok, replace your props recharge battery and check your drone is working.
If your new to flying I suggest you go to an open area free of obstacles and practice.

Lithium reacts violently with water and can explode. Even moisture in the air. I would not recommend charging or anything else for that matter.

Is the battery casing/housing actually  cracked or are you just concerned because it fell?

Its only a problem if the cells are exposed, I've got a sailboat with lithium and also never had a problem.

I believe the batteries in the packs are LiFe not Lipo which are more stable.

Hi, there. Please reboot the drone and see if there is any error message in the app. I would recommend you send it back for repair if your drone can not work normally: http://www.dji.com/support. Thanks for your support.

A big difference between between lithium ion and lithium polymer.never leave either unattended when charging. Those fires are scary

Most power tools have Lithium Polymer they are tough batteries contractors put them through tough workouts but I agree you shouldn't charge them unattended.

Thanks for that, but I was commenting on the fact that OP battery didn’t fall into water.

A harmed battery gets out of balance. The spark will complain if it is.
Eventually check the battery status page in the go app. If the 3 cells have the same voltage, it is good.

This is totally cool. A bit too slow reaction. I would like to try to do this myself. Any recommendation for catalyst or something that would speed up reaction and also make it more violent?

Recently had the same issue with impacting into a tree while flying in Sports Mode. The Drone dropped and the battery fell out. I checked out the battery and it had no visable damage,, all good, I resinserted it into the Spark and checked Voltage etc. no warnings, so I did another flight with no issues. Spark is a tough Drone ,,

I think you might be confused. Lithium ion batteries are used in power tools not lipo.
