So, just in case you've missed it, the Air comes with a self timer option of sorts. And also in case someone else gets caught out by this (as I spent 10 mins trying to switch it off having unwittingly set it when playing about with the camera settings during my initial set up. )

It's called 'Interval Shots' and the setting is in the main camera settings where you select what type of snapshot you want (eg HDR etc).

I had completely forgotten about it as I had been shooting only video since getting it (trying to pump out the YT vids at the moment Hence I wasted half a battery trying to work out why my camera wasn't working properly .   It's actually a great setting to automatically take continuous pictures every few seconds depending on what you set the time to... Allows you to concentrate on flying ...

So, if you see a timer symbol and a 5 or other number in place of your usual button, check your settings.  
Will have to check the Pro; I don't remember this setting on that....

The option must be considered really great by DJI, because every time I start the DJI Go app it defaults the photo mode to this "Interval shot" mode.

It's an old one. Think I had this on my P3S. It is on both MP and MPP.

My bad!  But always good to share tips...  Been flying for 3 years and didn't realise it existed.  I need to play more

It is a good one and worth sharing.

Defaults to this setting after last update.......

It seems the Magic Air interval timer will only go down to 5 second intervals. With a 20-25 minute battery life, you can’t get much of a time lapse.

Is there a patch or update to some how get at least 2 second intervals?
