I have had my Mavic Air for a week and I absolutely love it. I have a Pro Platinum and a Spark and the Air is my favorite of the three.

I fly mostly for fun and I’m an advanced photo hobbyist.  I travel a lot and I like the Mavic Air better for its compact size and the included case is really nice.  The controller has a very nice feel to it and I never really look at the screen on my Platinum controller.  I like that the filters on the lens actually are threaded on instead of just pressed on.  I don’t feel like they may fall off in flight.  I also think the Air feels like it’s built better than the Platinum. Many will disagree but that’s my honest opinion.  Overall I just feel it is a solid overall drone and gives me photos ad video as good or better than the Platinum and it is faster.  I still like all of my drones but so far the Air is my favorite.

It can take going through a few drones until you find the one that best suits your overall needs. The MPP has done that for me - glad you got it with the Air. Enjoy many safe flights.

Range, flight time and motor noise output are 3 of the top 5 most important things to me in a drone. Thats why I prefer my MPP to my P4P ;)

Nice to see. Maybe also take one from above. Now they all look about the same size

Nice set!
Only thing that keep Mavic from becoming my favorite is the noise.
It is too loud and gets too much attention.

My Mavic Air is currently being labelled as a 'piece of crap', but only in regards to the constant signal loss. At my house, i struggle to get more than 100 meters away, in full line of sight, and the signal drops out completely. Here you go:

WiFi connection or wired?  I use the cable and I have never lost video even 2000 meters away

The iPhone is plugged into the RC... Online support tech seemed to suggest they dont like conjested areas.

That is very true.  I’m lucky to live far from any city or town. I regularly fly my MPP 2 Miles one more with no loss of signal.

Some users in this forum also suggested that the phone or tablet you are using to run the DJI app amkes a difference. Maybe try changing that to check whether it gets better. The recommendation is basically to have something with a lot of processing power...

Yep, loving mine too. Finally, after a week of stuck inside because of weather, managed to get out and fly through three batteries. Hesitant at first, because all I've done with it so far is fly gingerly around the house, by the third battery I was zipping it around the park. Looking forward to more flights with my "Red".

I also have a yellow colored Spark and a Red Mavic Air. Poor sparky has not any flight time since I got the Air. I’m absolutley in love with it, its capabilities are amazing. For my next drone I’ll probably skip the Mavic line all together even if there is a Mavic 2 and my next drone will likely be a Phantom!
