Yes, I understand now. The only question now is who can add it...

I would be ok with the change.  I would also like them to find a better solution to the spam issue.

Normally, I would have said no, but the Air is getting tons of postings that only apply to the Air, so it might be appropriate to separate them.

Agree - it's crowding up with Air issues and get everything else to quickly slide down.

As a fairly new Mavic Pro Platinum owner, and given the more broader user base of the Mavic Air, I find there is enough distinction between the two platforms to warrant two separate sections. DJI could have easily named the Mavic Air  something else like the 'Nymph Air' or some such (brand popularity aside). Then it would have had it's own forum section. Just think how cluttered the 'Mavic' section is going to be when the Mavic Pro 2 is released.... I think DJI can well afford a website upgrade - much like the regular firmware upgrades we get ... quite often! ;-)

It's a Mavic but there's a difference when comparing the aesthetics of Mavic Pro and Mavic Air vs. Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro, right?

I think the Mavic Air users deserve to have their own board dedicated to their specific interests, needs, and issues. Their AC is a lot different from the MP and it's kind of unfair to them to have to dig through everything to find something that may be of interest.

From a customer service point of view DJI should have a different tab for each one of their drones.  Just because the Mavic Air has folding arms like the Mavic Pro + Platinum
does not make it a Mavic Pro +Platinum.  Just because they both have the Mavic name does not meant that they are exactly the same.  Sizes are different, battery, propellers,
features and capabilities are different.   The Mavic Air is a new product with it's own set of problems/glitches just like the Mavic Pro +Platinum are older models with their
own set of issues.  Also as a Mavic Pro Platinum owner, I want to exchange ideas and talk about issues with other Mavic Pro +Platinum owners without having to scroll
around all of the Mavic Air postings.  Not to mention confusing users with issues that may not be relevant to the Mavic they own, be it a Mavic Pro or a Mavic Air.
That is why I voted for #1 Yes, Mavic Air and Mavic Pro should get separate Tabs on the forum

Notice that I mentioned Tabs because we will all be using the same DJI Forum, regardless.

Waste of time... this has been an ongoing request since the day of MA release.
DJI forum devs do not care and will not change this. It's ridiculous and makes them look like idiots.

They are totally different drones .....
