I'm currently saving for a Phantom 4 Pro and plan on using it for not only as a hobby but to help with my construction business.  Mainly using it for roofing/siding estimates.  I just don't know which software to buy/download/free?! or use.  I want to start using the software to not only show my customers the footage but to help simplify the estimating process. The 2 software programs I have looked at is Kespry & Roof Snap.

When using a drone like the Phantom 4 Pro for roof inspections and estimating, having the right software can make the process much more efficient. Here are a few thoughts on your options:

- Roof Snap is a great choice that seamlessly integrates aerial measurements and integrates with other construction estimating software. It has different tiers based on your desired features, but even the basic version can quickly generate reports.

- Kespry also provides aerial measurement tools and integrates with estimating platforms. It may have more robust analytics features for identifying problems/damage compared to Roof Snap. Worth looking at their pricing tiers.

- DroneDeploy is another popular option, though it has a heavier focus on mapping/surveys. It can still produce accurate measurements to assist with roofing estimates.

- Consider trying out free trials of a few programs first to get hands-on and compare features. This can help determine if it's worth the investment over using the drone manufacturer's basic software.

- For presenting finds to customers, most programs allow you to showcase and annotate aerial photos/video. This visual component is compelling.

The Phantom 4 Pro is an excellent drone for roofing/construction aerial imaging. With some practice, you should be able to capture clear, helpful footage. Pairing it with estimation-focused software will maximize your efficiency and the value for your business. Let me know if you need any other tips!

I do a lot of roof inspections. Just curious if you have thought of an air 2S. It doesn't have a mechanical shutter . It will cost you about the same with newer technology, same sensor size. It's lighterand is compliant with lots of sotware.
