This is an interesting demonstration/test.

Are the final results, what you thought would be discovered.

Surely it is obvious that unless you take something out of the box, or change gravity, the box will always weigh the same.

Would the downward force of the props push down on the inside of the plexiglass box?

Newton figured this out long ago.

Yes, I'd love a Fig Newton. Thanks.

Those Laws go back to 1687. ;-) image.jpeg

Assuming that there is air in the box, the props will push on the air with a force equal to that required to lift the drone, the air will then push on the box with a force equal to that required to lift the drone, so the downward force on the box does not change except for when the drone is accelerating or decelerating, but the drone can't accelerate for long without hitting the top of the box and the scales will not be fast enough to see that.

With a very large box mounted on some springs and a very large drone you could make the box jump up and down, but on average there would be no weight change.

An interesting investigation, non the less. I like seeing scientific discoveries by test and error.
