Rule 1: don't fly in built up area's. So that rules out all cities.
(they don't enforce that rule too often, only when you are really irresponsible, but that is how you should interpretate the 'not flying over buildings' rule according to the government) and NFZ's
Rule 2: don't fly over / close by (50m horizontal) groups of people (12+), roads, railroads, harbors, industrial area's
When I did a quick search and skimmed through it, the only number I initially found was the 120m. They should put up an infographic for quick references in case I come and travel there. For Singapore, there's a map that tells you exactly where you can fly.
100 meters away from you is a bummer, though. I guess you could look for a big park and fly mostly vertically on a weekday to adhere to the 50m one.
Where I work, I get to meet cops occasionally and none of them know what the drone laws are haha. As long as you don't hit something or stalk anyone, they say they don't really care. Unfortunately, once drone laws are finalized that might change. |
