I use a Samsung Tab S2 (8 in.) as my mobile device. If you connect by following these steps it should work for you too. All flight telemetery and battery levels ARE displayed on the mobile device.

1.Connect the USB Cable to the OTG cable.
2.Connect the USB cable to your android device.
3.Start your Spark and RC.  Wait till they connect (Solid green light on the RC)
4.Start the GO 4 APP on your android. Wait till it connects and tells you to "GO FLY"
5.Connect the OTG cable to the RC.
6.Click on the "GO FLY" button on the GO 4 App.

On MY Samsung Tab S2 I get all information needed to fly. ie. Height, VS, Distance, GPS Sat. Battery level, etc.

Hopefully this helps others with similar problems connecting.

problem is ,with most android phones ,that they dont connect with wifi from RC,so step 4. doesnt work.and when connected with otg,there is no telemetry data.only working solution is dji go 4.1.15.

Question, did you turn off WiFi on your device after you connected the OTG cable?

Nope. Kept the WIFI going.

Not workin on my Lg STYLUS 2 droid version 7.0  wifi works

And you are sure, you are OTG and not wifi connected?
My guess is, the wifi is still on to the RC!

Without deselecting wi fi off, I am sure you are are still on wi fi and not actually on OTG??,, on my iPad I have to select wi fi off,, otherwise no OTG connection!!

On my iphone6 I do not need to switch Wi-Fi off. ORG will connect RC to phone will phone's Wi-Fi will stay connected to the internet. Just checked

Yup, you are right. Just retest the connection and when I shut WIFI off the flight data showed zero or N/A....crap!

OTG is definitely NOT working under Android (DJI GO4 v4.2.6).

#NO batterystatus.
#NO flight data.
#NO nothin' @all.

On the other hand, the IOS version DJI Go4 V4.2.6 is working well with the OTG cable.

WiFi will be used if turned on instead of the OTG on my IPAD. I went and checked.

As I mentioned earlier. OTG is working on android 4.2.6. I have battery, and flight data but no satelites..

wich android do you have
root rom?
sony ?samsung? htc? huawei?
they are all a little different.

Can it be, that your wifi is on and connected to the RC?

Try that in the wilderness with the only "internet" is the RC's wifi.

Noa Hummer is mobile phone. Wifi is deactivated before going in Dji GO 4 app..
If weather would bi better this days, I will do screen video.

That is different indeed. But inside the house i was testing the live streaming function. Cable connected to phone, all telemetry showing on the screen, and i was specifically checking the wifi several times and it was showing connected to my home wifi. Ofcourse out in the field the only wifi available would be the RC one..i'll test that as soon as the weather will allow..

Do you have a an IOS device. Telemetry works fine on IOS.

FYI ... the OTG connection never stopped working physically. The problem is that since DJI GO 4 4.1.18 released last november, DJI has broken the readouts of essential flight data transmitted over the cable. If you look at the video you uploaded you will see you have no satellite data, no remainning battery, no height, distance and so on. It is practically unusable in this state as well as pretty dangerous. That's the reason why people say it does not work ;).

and also there is no offline maps,so i run down to 4.1.15.and now otg and offline maps are working fine on mu sgs 6 edge ,also i run floater and turn fcc mode on,now im waiting good weather to test these settings!!!!maybe off topic?
