Got the Mavic Air through the Free Trial Programme and got a chance these two days to fly this new drone.
This video got some footage and I shared some first impressions & review as well. Please feel free to leave me any comments or feedbacks.




Some points to note:
1. really super portable
2. removable remote controller sticks are genius
3. stable & quiet flight
4. super FUN asteroid mode (But I failed in the Boomerang shots)
5. Wider angle than Mavic Pro
6. More saturated than MP (on default mode in Mavic Air compare to D-Cinelike in Mavic Pro)
7. Softer (less sharp) camera than MP

Yes, 2 samples for you.
Photos are taken during Sphere Shot, and I chose the same spot for comparison.
both DNG to JPEG by Photoshop, slightly color-graded for similar color tone.

I don't think Sharpness is the only factor to evaluate a camera, plus I am not the kind of people who will take 100% crop to examine a photo, and one thing users complaining about Mavic Pro is its "over-sharpness" in video, and many tutorials taught us to lower the sharpness for better video quality.

But yes, Mavic Air lens is softer than Mavic Pro, at least in my case. I wonder whether it is the problem of my Mavic Air, as it really seemed a bit out-of-focus? And would like to be able to calibrate the lens for the best possible focus.
I will try to test the color (so far, I think the Mavic Air tends to emphasize RED?) & dynamic range in the future when there are sunlight =.=
