We discovered that the maximum range we could set a waypoint, in the intel flight waypoint mode, from our home point, was 1,600', even after we found a setting to turn on max range.  How can we set several way points more than 1,600' distant, assuming we're not just ignorant about how to use the waypoint smart mode?  Would this method work: set a home point right under a desired waypoint pos - fly the P4 up - set the waypoint - land the P4 - while leaving the P4, IPAD, & controller on, drive to a new home point location a mile distant - repeat the process to create another waypoint above that new home point - drive to another home point a mile distant and repeat the home/waypoint process. Hit APPLY in the waypoint mode menu. Would the smart mode reject these waypoints and/or would it save the waypoint mission after shut all of the equipment down and power it up, like a day later?

Use Litchi for longer waypoint modes.

Waypoints need to be completed during flight up to a max 500m radius. As mentioned above, use the litchi app for longer range WP missions

Thank you so much Cams and CW for your advice to use Litche for the waypoints. I'm on it! I was afraid that we just didn't know how to set the range limit in DJI GO.
