Upgraded the DJI go app this morning and now I've lost the google map at the bottom left corner of the built in screen.  How is that an update can remove basic stuff like this?  Don't they test these things at all?

I am running the latest version 01.03.06.00 and the map is there. Try factory reset.

Sorry, I should've specified that I'm using the DJI Go 4 app.  Doesn't look like we're running the same app.

01.03.06.00 is last firmware version of Pro+ RC. Check which version you have and, like rbhornet said, try factory reset. I also have Pro+ , with latest DJI Go and all work fine!

Thanks for the screenshots.  It looks like we’re running the same versions.  I’ll try the reset later.

You get a message saying he does not want to work because he is looking for Google play !!! It looks like you have an ordinary RC with a cell phone or tablet!

It's not an ordinary controller.  I have the Pro+ controller with the built in screen.

Yes, I think that is the problem! You have + RC with software for ordinary. And I have + RC and he never ask for Google play but ordinary ask.

Did you follow instruction for update? (from  7# )

Like tompahr suggest, it sounds like you have managed to get the ordinary GO4 app for the + overwritten by the regular Android version?
My + has never had any google maps, just some here maps witch lack a lot of details in my area.

It's fixed.  I had to reset the controller, turn off the wifi and then update the DJI GO 4 app using a local update.  I think DJI pushed out the wrong update file over wifi which is why it wasn't working at first.  I've talked to other users of the P4P+ who updated over wifi and had the same issue.

factory reset by itself didn't help.  I had to reset and then load the update from the sd card.
