Is there a way I can check if the new battery I bought is genuine or not?

Plug it to the Spark and use the DJI Go 4 app to check the battery statistics and details.

What exactly do you mean by being genuine?

I meant to ask if it is a original dji battery or a fake

Where did you buy it and how much did you pay???  The writing on the battery can easily be counterfeited.  If the price wasn't that much of a savings, I would just buy from DJI or a reputable dealer who is an authorized DJI dealer.

I am from India where there are no dealer’s yet as drones are banned. So I bought this on eBay. Around 70$

There are no fake batteries out there....BUT some batteries sold by third parties  are refurbished ....You cant find that info ....

There's lots of fake batteries for the Phantom line.   Back when they first appeared,  you would see lots of forum discussions on the risks of using them.  Lots of interest as they were generally less than half the $149 price of the legit phantom battery.

With the Spark battery at $50,  I wouldn't be surprised if someone created $25 fake/clones.

Look at the battery details, it provides serial number, date of manufacture and number of times it has been charged.

That's interesting I wonder if  a fake battery be able to fool the system too?

Bharath, please follow the advice in 2#. Our app can identify if the battery is the official battery. Thanks for your attention.

No fake you say, oh sir you are wrong, per DJI if you use a battery that is not certified dji oem your drone can fly off, crash, and or malfunction midair.
There is tons of fake dji batterys on ebay, amazon, facebook, almost every place. So you fly with your so called refurbished battery, good luck. I been dealing with dji drones since they was introduced to the U.S. i can tell you there is companys and people who will say they have oem dji batterys.. check before you buy.
