Can you assign and use the side sliders to be able to make the lens zoom in and out?

Does it zoom in when you touch the spot on screen on the crystal sky or just focus only

Zoom function by using the screen is VERY glitchy. It's impossible to get a smooth, professional zoom. It would be nice to be able to assign the zoom function to one of these side rotary encoders.
