For those of you who want to upgrade to the Phantom 4 Advanced Plus.
It is now only € 999,- at a online shop in The Netherlands. With a hardshell.
http://www.ibood.com/electronics ... -advanced-plus.html

Not sure if they ship abroad, but I do buy from that site from time to time.

Hi Montfrooij,
This sounds like a REAL steal and 2 year warranty.
Other dutch sites are still at 1399Euro and even 1699Euro, so cannot believe this price.

Well if I think about it, this drone 1"sensor at 4K and 60FPS WITH dedicated screen for about 1400 Euro is not to bad, actually price wise it is logical to make room for something else.
Like a Mavic Pro 2, without this screen but with foldable design I can see what the price could be like.
Sorry for those people that have spend 1700 or 1400 euro's and want to sell their Phantom 4 advanced in order to buy something more new..

I know. This is a great deal. That is why I am posting it.
Ibood occasionally has great deal. Usually with older stock that needs to be sold from one of their main stores (it is owned by the Media Markt company)
I just don't have money to buy a big drone and a small drone, otherwise I would definitely buy this one.

One thing I know is that they do sell out from time to time if demands are high.
So I did miss some deals in the past because I waited too long.

If you live within the European Union, I would really think twice about buying because of the new European drone rules which are set to be implemented in 2019.
Everything above 900 grams (RTF) will fall out of the proposed recreational C1 category and therefore needs pilot certification to fly.

Ok, thanks for the warning.
Now I really hope the MP2 (or how it will be called) will be < 900gr

I would be really sursprised if the MP2 would weigh more then 900 grams, basically because DJI is in to sell drones, and falling out of compliance doesn't sell drones.

I would be surprised if they could squeeze all the things that are rumored about in a <900g package.
But hey, it is DJI.

750 million people? Not likely that DJI is going to pass that market. DJI is the biggest drone company in the world, and I bet they were even involved in creating these new regulations.

Sure they can, just have a look at what they can pack in a 430 gram Mavic Air. Or they'll just fit a 1/1.7-inch sensor untill the tech is evolved, there is something to want in an MP3.  ;)

Nah, everywhere else seemingly is using the sub 100g and the sub 2kg, where the 'sub 900g' comes from is a new concept to me?

Its from the European Aviation Safety Agency. Which has the mandated authority from the European Parlement to come up with the new Civil drone rules which will aply for the complete airspace of the European Union.

https://www.easa.europa.eu/easa-and-you/civil-drones-rpas

Here is the proposal https://www.easa.europa.eu/sites ... -05%20%28A%29_0.pdf

Political agreement between Councel, the European Commision and the European Parliament was reached on 22 december 2017.

Actually no, its a good thing there will be one set of regulations which the whole of Europe has to conform to, harmonisation is a good thing in my humble opinion.

And like I said, DJI, as biggest drone company is bound to be consultated and lobbying their perspective on the matter. They know that the future of recreational RPAS within Europe lies within the C1 categorization, they'll comply, because they want to continue selling drones in Europe.

But rulings that I have seen, all over the world have never incorporated a figure of 900gms.... your post is the first I have heard of it...
