Heya.

New Mavic Pro owner here, upgraded from the Spark.

Is it normal for the battery to have a little bit of looseness to it when attached to the Mavic?

Its on there well, does not look like it will pop off or anything... But there is a bit of a "jiggle" if I give the Mavic a shake.

Is this normal?

No - i own two Mavic Pros and the battery should be pretty firm when attached onto the body. I would get it checked out...

should be on snug - no jiggle - it does suck but at least you have the comfort of knowing that as there is a good chance that as it is probably still under warentee that they will replace it.

Can you perhaps borrow a battery from a friend or maybe explain the problem where you purchased it and try putting a different battery on - just to see if it is a battery or aircraft fault. The battery definitely does not wobble and of course could either fall off (unlikely as you said it is on firmly) or perhaps have a power interruption while it is not connected properly.

I have a friend with a Mavic Pro.

I will get him to check.

Like I said, its on there very firmly... But clips "click". It just seams like there is about 1/10th of an mm (yes, mm) of movement.

I checked both the 'inset grooves' on the battery as well as the 'sliders' that slide into them (on the mavic), neither are damaged.

That's about 0.004 inches, the thickness of a sheet of paper. I would not worry about it though a strip of adhesive tape in the joint would tighten thing up nicely.

Will see how my friends is. He has quite a bit more flight time on his then me.

Worst case its 3 days old, will stop by the retail and get a replacement.

Just to be clear, cause the video was a bit dark... The battery is NOT going anywhere. Its in there solid, just got that tiny tiny wiggle to it.

Hi Anom3, I agree to borrow a friend's battery to check if it is the same case. And I will also transfer this video to our engineers to confirm. Will get back to you once I hear back from them. Thank you.

How did this turn out? I hope you returned it for a new one and checked it at the store. I would not tolerate a loose battery. ~ scarey ~

Checked all 3 of my Batteries and they are tight. Sometimes I think a little to tight when I try to disengage them. I am not complaining after seeing your video.

Do what DJI THOR said. check with another battery.

A battery that loose could cause a loss of power and you don't what that at 200 feet altitude. and a mile away

Thanks for the reply, please let me know what the team says.

Hi Anom3, have not received your feedback. Does the issue also happen with other batteries?

Hi Thor.

I had a friend come by with his Mavic Pro and batteries.

The issue is a lot better when using either one of his batteries. It is still not as tight as his Mavic Pro though.

I have opted to just ignore the issue and have flown many flights, many km without issue.

Like I said, the battery is in there VERY tightly. It is not going anywhere. And I noticed the connectors from battery to Mavic use a scissor design... So they contacts are good.

Not the best, but it works.

Hi Thor.

I had a friend come by with his Mavic Pro and batteries.

I saw your new post, sorry for the difficulties. For the battery loose issue, the engineers mentioned it might not affect the flight performance. But if it is needed, please send the parts in so we can help to take care of it. Please contact our support to start a case: http://www.dji.com/support
