I just upgraded from the spark. I am not a pro photographer but have really enjoyed both videos and photos with the spark. The MA flies great and the video seems ok up close i would just like an opinion on if its just a setting or something i could try to remedy it. Almost seems to me the camera wont focus beyond a certian point and seems to add haze or fog in the horizon. Seems to happen more in the center top of the pictures.

Hey there, could you please provide me with the original pictures for a better confirmation? Please export the photos from the SD card and upload to Dropbox so I can download them directly. Thank you very much.

Are these single captures, or merged files?
It looks like they show some stitching errors in the distance.

I have basically the same results with Mavic Air. If I shoot houses, first few hundred metres are sharp, the rest on the horizon is very blurry. It was not like that on my Spark before.

I have sharpness for a very long distance.

Single captures. Thats part of the issue.

Just to make everyone aware the MA has a "fixed focus" lens, while the MP and MPP can physically focus the lens

This might account for some softness out to infinity in the MA photos.
However in the OP's photos there is definitely a problem

Photo 1 - there is vertical band of softness from just left of center, from the foreground to the background, this is not normal.
From the top 3rd , the house with the turquoise roofs, it almost look like camera shake or double exposure but it could not be as the rest of the image is fine.
I would say this is a sensor issue or a big smudge on the lens, but it can't be a smudge as it only appears in one photo.

Photo 2 and Photo 5, the background is too fuzzy and there is a transition from color to almost black and white, this again is not normal.
In comparison this is much sharper, but there is some foreground softness.

I'd probably send it for analysis
