I don't seem to be able to control the zoom lens from within the app.

but the problem is that no control for adjusting the zoom appears in the app, regardless of the phone's set resolution.

Jamie, any error message in the app? Please ensure that the lens is well-connected. I would recommend you install it again and clean the connector. Can you post a picture of the lens?

I think the reason is that this is a lens that is not officially supported from dji, I understand it's not about Olympus pancake zoom 14-42mm.
