This video has several firsts for me with the Mavic Air and Premiere Pro. So much to learn...
Slow motion sequence created in Premiere and inserted into normal speed clip, for fast-slow-fast sequence. No high FPS video was collected.
Music trimmed so that major change occurs at the "takeoff" point of the ride
"Supervised" ActiveTrack where I launched and tracked another rider with Profile mode.
The tracking is very impressive and would typically take two humans: one to fly the platform and one to operate the sensor. I base this on what I have read about NFL "Sky Cam" operations.
The main hazard of Profile mode is sideways flying into the the terrain since the Air does not have side collision avoidance cams. In this case the downhill ride was advantageous.
I used Return To Home (RTH) to get back to the launch pad, then went to manual landing when auto land refused to operate on final approach.
This is typical in backcountry conditions, so I always use the stick controller for landing under challenging conditions of wind and terrain. I don't have the fine motor control without the sticks. |
