which apps iOS to use with your dji equipment ?

here I will put some apps that I consider very useful (and why) that I have on my smart phone and on my tablet ...

of course all your advice is very welcome

Litchi for many of us has become a must to have

pix4d is also very technical and useful ( for tecnician professionals  users)  

said these words for the noble app I would also like to talk about this other apps

I like to have also Google Earth
because I find it useful to take a look before going there
with the 3D view I can also find (sometimes) the best picture to take (point of view where I will put my drone)

There are also useful apps like NoFlyZone ... the name explains everything
However, I take into account the difficult interpretation of the aerial maps, this app integrates in an excellent way the aforementioned DJI GO.



sometimes I found it useful to use DistanceCal or MapMeter or MeasureMap
useful when it is necessary to calculate the exact distances

obviously always present the app for the Weather Forecast
Windy, UAV Forecast, Windfinder

but I do not finish here ....

after , for me , there is a post-production phase ...


how to read the micro sd from the drone ?
(copy photos/videos on your tablet or phone)

for the Android users,  the work is simplified ...
there are tablets and phones that read the sd directly ...

for Apple iOS users ... very compatible with DJI, but little with external memories... and so...
I'm talking about adapters, so you can use it on your iPhone/Ipad easy to found in Amazon or  eBay ...

I'm working with Leef, micro sd adaptor for Ipad / Iphone with related App

I also use an external hardisk ( WD)  wi-fi
very useful because it can create a intranet where you can connect multiple device, when you need , like  litchi or airspace
but the hardisk also has a adaptor to read micro sd
I use it when I need to have free space on my drone micro sd, trasfering file from sd to HD and then I can reuse the micro sd in the drone
(considering that p4p make big files when recording at maximum resolution)

yes of course ... we can connect drone directly with device ...
but ... let me know when you'll save your battery for do it ...




in addition File Explorer is a excellent app to manage files and split them into folders like Imac or pc way

and TotalDownloader ... why? Have you ever need to download a firmware update? or a royalty free music to use for your videos?
try to use this app on your iOS device ...

and then?

video editing



Imovie for iOS excellent and free

LumaFusion ... really complete with everything ...( I really love this app)
already with only these two Apps I can do a great job in 4k directly from iphone or ipad without going through pc or imac ... unbelievable ...

in addition I also use Deshake or Emulsio to stabilize my videos
especially hyperlapses
BTW ... (DJI when you implement a hyperlapse function for my drone?)

Intro Designer, useful with preset clips to customize from time to time
Videorama also easy to use with preset effects and ambient sounds

obviously there are a lot of  apps to edit the photographs ...
I really like Pixlr

These are the apps I mostly use on my Iphone SE and my Spark and P3P



apart from the DJI Go apps I always check UAV forecast and NATS

(Airmap out of the UK) before flying.

I would like to add to this list VR Pro app for virtual reality with goggles and Spark (for IOS).
