i tried the active track mode and it appears to be nor working/
the camera is tracking the subject but the drone stays in its position
the Trace and Profile modes act as Spotlight mode
any ideas?

Strange one, have you checked in the app if its showing you are in a restricted flight zone and you need to tick the box and choose yes?

Agreed make sure your not in beginner mode

I had this once also. I re-activated the mode and then it followed correctly.

Tap within the box to start tracking

It's a joke, because it doesn't work. Unless you are following a boat on water, or something that really contrasts and is large in size, the active track doesn't work. I try to follow my daughter driving a little barbie type car, and it wont follow for more than 20 seconds. Terrible tech.

Works for me....every time i use it...bulldog why so butt hurt. Take your drone back if the modes are a joke. All you do is complain on this forum. Maybe grav a tiny whoop or something

I loved the old one function which would follow the remote. Back then one click and you ready to go. Now new marker tracker failed when i tried to follow RED tractor in Green field (exactly gimbal was following, but not the drone itself) But it tracked well my Grey SUV on Grey Asphalt. What i found out, before you make any markers App recognizes moving objects and shows some kind of "small bubble" if you click on it then it will chase the target. If you'll draw box around it and click "go" it will make gimbal tracking  leaving the drone standing still (this is disaster as that bubble just to small to be activated).  Using Tracking + Orbiting around windmill was a tragedy too, i tried to mark whole windmill and any other possible method (failure cos of moving propellers always puts a shadow within or smth else). New DJI app lack old version of "Fly over point", fly away and start orbiting". Same thing for "follow remote" mode. Hopefully these things will come back soon.

Works great for me, pets, kids, cars, boats on a river - very rarely have a problem
