Good afternoon,
I would like to know why, on an iPhone 8+, I can not shoot slow motion in 1080p... Normal and timelapses are good quality but 720p is quite disappointing knowing that in the build-in camera setting we can have a way better quality...

The native Camera app for the iPhone supports 1080p for slo-mo.

I wouldn't complain. Android users have no options for slow-mo in the DJI app eventhough we have Samsung sensors and camera's like the iPhone with our S7, S8's.

Will there be an app update to allow this for Android users?

That is really disappointing.
Is there an alternative app which one can use with the osmo mobile and a slowmo capable phone?

Does the Osmo Mobile 2 actually uses the same software as the Osmo Mobile 1?

I believe FiLMiC Pro supports Slow Motion. See Shooting Slow Motion in FiLMiC Pro.

And one can use it on Android with the Osmo Mobile?

Unlikely.

Samsung have not released the APK to allow developers to use the full 240fps video in their apps - so DJI, Filmic etc have no chance. The best Filmic pro can do is 120fps @720. The newer phone (S8/ S9) are even more limited.

The best option, if you have Samsung (S6 and up) to use the default camera for slow motion. Remember to start fiming earlier, and stop recording a little late to compensate using the screen to stop/ start.

I can shoot up to 240fps on my Galaxy S9+ at 1080 with Filmic Pro with no issues..
