Hi,

today I fly over the ocean and I regconize that my mavic air horizon line is not level.

when I back home, I try to auto calibrate gimbal and the result is .. not good.

Screenshot_2018-03-02-23-02-56.png

I have to manual adjust gimbal to 0.6 and then it's look good.

so is it normal to have to manually adjust the roll to get it even?

I know mavic pro have problem with gimbal but never heard on mavic air have a same problem too.

Yes gimbals are not perfect....u will have to use adjust gimbal roll especially on windy days. My mav pro always required the right side to be .07

Hope so.  My gimbal is also off 7 degrees, but it's been that way for a long time.  Not getting better or worse.  You should know, of course, that you can adjust the gimbal tilt in settings up to (i think) 10 degrees.

It is okay for your case. Basically, it regards as normal if it is within +/- 3 degrees. For your case, I suggest that you calibrate the gimbal once again after adjusting it back to balance. See if it helps.

Hi! I have just bought a Mavir Air and made the first flights. Unfortunately, I must say that i have the same problem with the horizon which not exactly. As you can see on the video, the horizon is ok at the beginning of the video, but then tilts as soon as I swivel the Mavic 360 degrees.

I have already recalibrated the gimbal and also performed the IMO calibration. but unfortunately the result is what you can be seen on the video. When I flew, it was also relatively calm. I think the Gibal has to make up some wind. Is that a drone error and I have to exchange it or is it normal?
I am happy about any help

Matthias

I got the same problem Matthias. Mine is actually much worse, see https://forum.dji.com/thread-166674-1-1.html, which is almost the same topic

Im curious what they will say and if they can fix it. If you google around for this issue you can find many others who have the same problem. Keep me updated on the progress if you dont mind ^^

You can also manually dial in a correction too.

so you adjust the horizon manually and then perform a gimbal calibration afterwards?? Will it remember the manually adjusted setting then?

yes i understand, and that is what i did.
What i didn't understand was the advice of Dji Thor to do a gimbal calibration afterwards.
As i think this will erase the manual horizon setting again...

My understanding is the auto calibration would reset your manual settings.

I suppose you could test it and see what happens,  and then we can go definitive

Please try and see if that helps. Please let me know if the issue persists. Thank you.
