Not sure what happened to my original post, but it seems to have disappeared.

My wife bought me a new set of DJI RE Goggles for my birthday.
  I can get them to bind to my Mavic Pro--- no problem.

They go blank every 30 seconds, while on my face and active.
Yes, problem goes away with ECO mode off.

Bad proximitiy sensor?  Do I need to open a repair ticket?

I'm at the latest firmware, etc.

Can you try refreshing the firmware on the Goggles and Mavidc Pro through the Assistant 2 Software? Make sure you reset to factory settings first. Once completed, restart everything.

No joy. Factory reset and reload of firmware did not change symptoms---  still goes blank at 30 seconds (on my face).

Ended up sending in -- DJI replaced them.  It was a problem with the proximity sensor.

Guys, this "feature" eco mode does not work properly.  It should recognize when you take off the glasses and turn it off. But no matter you have the glasses on your face, or not, it will black out in a 30 sec.  Just go to the gear and turn off the STUPID ECO MODE function.   But do not forget to turn the glasses off when you finish yout flight.
