When you first start the motors the rpm serges then comes back down to the idle rpm.  I just flip the switches down for a fraction of a second then let them return to the center position. The Quad should not budge from its position.

Welcome to the forum.
As already mentioned the motors will surge but should after a second or 2 reduce down to idle speed this is normal.
Unless you are flying in extreme cold there should be no need to warm anything up.
You can also take off using the app itself have you downloaded and read thoroughly the online manual?
If not please do it has a lot of info in it that novice pilots need to know

When you start the motors the throttle burps twice.  This is normal.

Welcome to the forum. It's nice to have you here.

Please release the Cap Lock function. ;-)
The Phantom 3 Pro' motors rev up, to set the self tightening props.

Enjoy your drone, and time well spent while on the forum.

I guess the P4 does it for the same reason - to lock the quick release props into place if someone has left them only half on, either that or to make them fly off so you know there is a problem!

Punctuation is your friend.  Between the all caps and lack of any punctuation I gave up trying to read your post.

Ah yeah, all though many folks are using tiny keyboards on old flip phones, so having access to all the keyboard options is just a hassle to access.

Or some other folks, those good people are simply hard of hearing, so talking loud, is their norm. Haha

Can you hear me now? Chuckles

It's a simple safety measure that works. One way or the other. ;-)

I find what works positively every time is a simple preflight check list.

Yes, please do RTFM, several times actually, as you are quite new to all of this.

Normally reading all the manuals and online PDF brochures is a first step. Not an after thought.

Perhaps wearing eye protection, for RC pilot beginners isn't bad advice either, or as well.  ;-)

What drone model are you using?

Post a video of your drone starting up, to show that lack of function.

Turn the drone on, then do a CSC with the RC sticks.
