I have a DJI Phantom 3 Pro that was purchased used and I'm trying to find the year for insurance purposes.  I've asked the guy who sold it to me and he isn't sure.  There was a website I came across that allowed you to put in the serial number and it would give you the info but it has been removed.  Any help would be appreciated.

OK, so for more fun and confusion;

I entered my serial number into the "DJI Serial number decoder", and it returned "Model: Phantom 3 Pro, build on: 1 December 2016" although the aircraft has a "PHANTOM ADVANCED" name plate on the front of the aircraft.

Mine is a Advanced or so the badge on the front says and no 4k camera !!!!

I can't help you with your question. I'm interested in the insurance you're  purchasing though.
