I just cashed in all my DJI Forum points to buy the Tello. Wondering how many points others have cashed in for credits or if you even care about them.

Not yet.
The DJI store is rather expensive in NL and the conversion from points to EUR not very positive.
(you 'only' get € 21,- per 5400 points and that is a lot of forum time   )
Also the shipping cost in NL are rather high and you need a large amount to be able to ship without costs.
That makes other webshops are far more appealing to buy from.

I do however plan on buying some accessories in the future. Those seem priced sort of similar and I will use my credits for that.

Cashed in 16,200 so far out of nearly 24,000 - so $90 credited and will be cashing in another $30 in April to total $120 then probably another $30 in May to round off to $150. Soon adds up though the exchange to £GBP isn't the best - £18.72 per 5,400 points but still, £93.60 for 27,000 points is a free MPP battery and pair of props so I can't complain

You can redeem for credit and save it up for one purchase. Not sure how long the credit lasts but I saved for a few months then cashed it out towards the Tello

I voted now and I'm going to post my video. (didn't want to sway the results before anyone voted). I cashed in $80 in credits yesterday towards the Tello. I forgot to mention the contests. I got a lot of points for placing in the top 10 on a couple contests. One going on right now is a sunrise/sunset contest so make sure you film something with your DJI drones and submit it.

The credits stay on your account indefinitely. You can only redeem one batch of points per month though up to a maximum of 5,400 points in one hit per month. So even if you don't intend to spend the credits it's best to redeem them monthly and get the cash out of the forum and into your personal DJI account.

Are you sure about that?
Not that I know otherwise, but I can't find that anywhere (how long the Credits are valid).
And I remember in my very early days somebody said it was only 1 year.
But I can't find it.

Never seen it written either mate but I've never lost a penny in credits from rebates on purchases and forum credits redeemed and I have gone very long periods between purchases. It may be a year but who knows. I just redeem them then buy something I need/like and add the discount off the purchase.

I also redeem the points asap, but am curious how long the credit will stay valid.

May be a DJI mod will provide an official answer - you don't want to lose the rewards from all of that hard work on here.

That is a nice reward.
Not sure how the conversion to Pounds is.
Here in the EU it is not that good. (€ 21,6 per 30 credits)

£6.24 per 1,800 points (10 credits) or £18.72 per max 5,400 per month (30 credits).
It should be £7.24 to US$10 in line with the current exchange rate between British Pounds Stirling and US dollars but still a nice to have which I appreciate.

Best accessory of all is the Mavic sleeve, I have 3 of them will keep your MPP from getting scratched or damaged, I also use it for protecting my MavAir, and one for small crystal sky, every time I order I just seem to buy another one , great for keeping your hands warm also.

I am impressed by it and for just £6 you can't go wrong. I recently bought (with my own money LOL) a Peak Design Sling and the sleeve helps taking the drone in and out of the case easier and protects the props too.

And you can cash out your points and put them in your DJI personal account and build them up to make a larger purchase?  I don’t have very many points yet.

Yes, I saved credit for 3 months. Used 80 credits to almost pay for the entire Tello drone.

Yep - but you can only redeem points in blocks of 1,800 so 5,800 is 30 credits which you can cash in for $30 and that leaves 400 points left to put towards your next 1,800. You get 1 credit/dollar for every 180 points.
