I have done updated this latest firmware on my Phantom 4 Pro with latest DJI Go 4 V4.2.6 Android (Samsung Galaxy Note 8) but haven't go for the test flight because the DJI Go 4 apps still having a BUGS! when i click on select channel default setting is (AUTO), after i click to (MANUAL) select 2.4G or 5G it can but does not have option to give you select channel (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,xxxxx)!!!

Now on my DJI Go 4 apps only can click to choose 2.4G or 5G only!

I do not know if this is normal, dji could have setted this way ... but I don’t think so ...
maybe you should try again a second time ... re-update everything through PC. ..
my experience in a previous update,  has done the same thing with me ...
via dji go, after the update I had noise in the gimbal ...so  
after updating everything with dji assistent a second time... everything worked well ...
so I'm not sure if this was it, but I think it's better to try ...
what do you think?

Wow. That's crazy.
They should git bisect the issue but maybe they don't use source control and have no idea what they broke in the last update (and the fix that judging from your video makes things even worse)

Try to do a ram reset to ipad mini 4 before using it i have the same issues and that seems to work for me...

I’ve updated Phantom 4Pro, Remote and DJI Go 4 Software.

I took the aircraft out the next day and flew with no issues.

I flew line of sight 400 metres away and used Return To Home. Height was set to 100 metres.

Phantom landed within 15cms of take of point and although the home point was recorded I didn’t tick ‘precision return’

Tested in normal and sport mode.

Very happy

Used iPad Pro 256gb WiFi only

Updated yesterday, Flew for One battery. Not an exhaustive test, I know, but no problems to report apart from cold feet and fingers!
Tested with, Ipad 2017 32gb wifi/cell.  iOS 11.2.5

Just wondering, do you scroll down to the bottom after you have selected Manual?
I have myself been confused tapping the channel numbers until i remember to scroll down to find the new part of the screen that become visible when manual has been selected ...

I only had a few flights but have seen no new issues.
If the constant High Wind warnings was relaxed in .300, i didn't see it in the few flights i did on that version,  for sure that is back in .600.
Also i have had some movies with disturbing small white spots and some with black spots, but i think the FW is not to blame for neither a sudden snowfall or flock of birds entering the scene ...

I happy to report that with the recent update FW installed, yesterday I flew a total of 3 batteries and all checked out fine.  

No signs of the camera image inverting at all. Thank goodness.

Yup - that card should work ok.  I wonder if it was buffering issue within the fimrware causing the same effect.

Just do rule out a coincidental failure, do you have another card you can try?

Thanks I would certainly like to see those warnings tapped down so as to be more believable...

OK good to know, looks like I'll do the update as I don't like that inverted camera thing it is extremely unsettling and I'd very much like it gone!

I updated my P4P to the latest: V 01.05.0600

No apparent issues when flying.  I did notice when I turned right and left the gimble had a very slight hesitation.

Perhaps that was a setting that got over written OR I never noticed

One thing for sure, getting pics from SD card to Ipdad Mini is MUCH SLOWER.  Used to transmit approx 1mb a sec or more.  Now it barely gets 500mb a sec.

Anyone else experience this?

Just noticed that a new version of DJI Assistant 2 has been released in the P4P download section a few days ago.
What's new one might wonder, well a Battery update fix for the Mavic Air, wow that makes me happy ...
Anything else, oh Phantom 4 Pro Firmware: v 1.4.602, what gives this version was replaced by 1.5.300 on the 25th of December 2017 and 1.5.600 on March 8 in this thread, DJI when are you going to get the things right?
Please provide us with information that make it look just a little like you know what you're doing.

issue: white balance error

When WB manually set, the color temperature (K) will differ by about -700, So the color is cold.
Ex: When set to 5400K, Actual is taken at 4800K

set to Auto WB in daylight, the color temperature (K) is lowered.
This error affects both the picture and the video.
Please fix the WB error as soon as possible.

I'm not happy with this release, orange photos issue has been resolved which is good however this has come at the cost of very frequent app crashes, the green patching on the video and the CPU overload errors and hot ipad.
My first app crash was within 1 minute of take off while in initial hover I checked the settings and took a photo to verify that camera was good and the app crashed.

This is Phantom 4 Pro, Ipad mini 3 with latest firmware, IOS and no other apps on the Ipad and cold booted and lots of free RAM.  I will try to fly without video cache tomorrow.

I love this aircraft and camera but I hate the software bugs in core inflight features.


What alternative apps do people recommend?

I use an Ipad 9.7 pro wi-fi and data
there are a lot of apps installed, some even running in the backround
I updated the phantom 4 pro with the iMac, through assistant
DJIGO 4 updated
Ipad updated ... in short, I try to keep everything updated ...

the Drone works all right (always with crossed fingers) ...
I also forget to reset the ram on the ipad ... as someone suggests ...

so I suggest you double check everything, maybe you need to install the iOS on the iPad again
same suggestion for the Phantom firmware

let me know ... because I believe, that it is better to try

All I can say is that I hate DJI and their crap products with the passion, the service is non existent, the product never works properly in a straight forward manner and well I could keep going on. I hope another company comes out with (if not already which I haven't discovered yet) a better product then I'll enjoy doing a burn out on my Phantom 4 pro plus , watching it's cheap plastics and all sorts of stuff fly all over the place... Gee that was hard to restrain from swearing...

How can they not create software that works properly with their own product which they should know inside out? The mind boggles..

You must switch off AC when change band an channels to work...

You will find it gives itself, if update of the batteries is needed you'll see something about a firmware mismatch, then just tap the update and follow the prompts.
