I will (not now, but in a couple of hours).
First finish a hyperlapse test with Osmo Mobile (should take a couple of minutes to render and then I can upload it to YT and post it on the Osmo section)

Cool, I'll have a look later, I've not ventured into the osmo forum yet!

drum roll please....

Where I was concentrating on line of site with the drone, keeping an eye on my dog, trying not to trip over whilst walking backwards I was clutching the controller and had my finger on the RTH button. I realised what was happening as the return to home initialised and beeped, it took a second to cancel the return to home as it was ascending and luckily there was a couple of metres until the tree canopy. If it had happened just a metre or so sooner then it definitely would have crashed.

That was my next guess

Glad to see it all worked out for the best.

Time to . good night.

Thanks for the reply, I knew there had to be someone on here who'd work it out. It's the only time I've used that button and it was by accident!

Nope, good guess, it could have been that but I had the return to home set to hover.

Yeah could have flown this forwards but the most difficult part was the first bit so flew it backwards right at the beginning in case I needed to make multiple attempts and not have to fly right back to the beginning again (if that makes sense!).

It does make sense.  You inspired me to try a similar shot.  I flew it yesterday and totally understand what you said.

Cool, glad to have helped. There's so much to learn with these drones, still learning so much every time I fly.

Very, very fun thread, C L & S! Probably my favo(u)rite since I've joined the forum. Y'know, you could be called an eejit for doing all stuff in the same go (controller, eyeballs, walking backward, dog nearly underfoot).

My question for you (not calling you an eejit, mind): How does someone like you produce such tranquil videos?

Glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully won't have to make another thread like this again! Gotta take some risks sometimes, I enjoy the confusion of the woods and making sense of it
