Anyone tryed to "illegal" downgrade the firmware of I2 to V01.00.0240 (this one before failure june 26 fatality update )? How is it going? With what version of RC firmware it is the best? How is it going with H.264 and CDNG also, how is it going with hovering, straith of flight (IMU)?

I'm on a very early FW version, not sure of the number but it's from around April last year.

If I connect my I2 to DJI Assistant, will I be able to refresh my current FW or will Assistant force me to update to a more recent version?

Yes you can downgrade and it’s not illegal, after all, you did pay for the inspire 2. Just go on YouTube and search for “digdat0” man how to videos for downgrading inspire and go app...

You can downgrade but you need to mess with the DJI assistant software and risk bricking your I2.

If you search online there are instructions and even company's who'll do it for you for a price.

My advice is to not upgrade unless you have to. If it fly's well then why would you want to..

What is your current firmware? Is it 01.02.0100? If so, the firmware cannot be downgraded, since this is a big upgrade and we have updated many issues. Sorry for the inconvenience.

But you have created more issues with this update. Who is beta testing your firmware? the public or a select few who don't know what they are doing? Does anyone in the coding department actually fly the craft after they create this code? Where is the QC control in your firmware upgrades? One step forwards, 2 steps back... Typical DJI.
