Im thinking any mod would have to be very light, as I the gimbal motors seem sensitive to extra load. It would be great to have a 'Normal angle' lens on the Inspire. By normal I mean a  normal field of view, equivalent to a 50mm on an SLR.

I think that whole camera is different. Take not of the black section on the side and the placement of the SD Card slot. Our standard cameras are totally white on the side and the SD card slot is on the bottom. Also, there are now grooves in front for access to screws. Also no cooling slot type thingy on top of the camera.

Well spotted mattks. You are right. Still is interesting. Now where is that link?

I'm not sure the SD slot is actually in a different spot. My camera sometimes rotates to a similar position when powered down. The weight of the arm kind of pulls it in that direction. But it definitely looks like a new camera!

I tried to ID the lens and it looks like an Olympus 12mm F2 (going from the material colour and shape).

Nice bit of Photoshop work there...

On a second look there's something dodgy about the shadow, seems a little small.

The black spot on the side actually does look like it is off the Voyager.

And there I was getting excited about the prospect of a larger sensor...

Oh well it kept me amused for a while. I'm off work and cant fly Weather is blowing a gale out there. Maybe time for some DCS
