Thanks for the comments, all. I won't go into a tutorial here because it varies a bit based on the video editing software used. I did this with (free) Davinci Resolve, but search on YouTube for tilt-shift and your editing software name. Basically, it is capturing video from a height looking down on the subject from an angle. Then using masking techniques you blur the lower and upper portions of the video in a gradient, giving it the impression of depth-of-field blurring. Jack up the contrast and saturation a bit to give it a toy appearance, speed it up about 500 percent, and you have your toy village. |
