Hi guys,
I'm spending two days in beautiful Ibiza, Spain and today my Mavic got stuck on macro mode so it's useless which is VERY frustrating...
Things I've tried so far :
- resetting camera settings
- recalibrating gimbal
- Switching back and forth between PAL and NTSC modes
- calibrating IMU
Nothing worked so far... I've been looking for answers on here, on mavicpilots, youtube, etc. and I'm stuck.
Guys please, PLEASE tell me there's a way I can fix it without sending it to DJI. I'm so frustrated and angry right now
That is exactly the same problem this guy experienced:
1. Uninstall and reinstall the application Dji go
2. Firmware update via DJI Go app or Dji assistant 2 Make sure both says updated
3. Check the wiring of cables of drone and remote specially on the gimbal for any external damage
5. Factory reset via dji assistant 2 make sure to save files first
8.fully turn off and turn on the aircraft and remote remove batteries.
9. Check overall status/Aircraft status on dji go upper left icon and what errors are seen?
10. Have you tried using another phone or tablet to control the drone do you experience the same issue?
11. Have you tried another location or multiple locations if you experience the same?
12. Check for any debris or obstruction on the unit gimbal
First time I heard of auto focus not working.
Have you tried to program ether C1 or C2 to auto focus?
Might just send a signal to the camera to adjust focus .
Hi there, please try to refresh the latest firmware via the DJI Assistant 2. If it doesn't help, please provide me with your firmware info for further confirmation. And I will forward this case to our engineers, will get back to you once I hear from them.
Hi there, another update, please try to restart the drone for multiple times, if it doesn't help, we suggest sending the drone in. Please contact our support to start a case: http://www.dji.com/support

I tried everything, even a downgrade... I'm starting a case. Thanks Thor
Sounds like pretty much the same issue I’m having. Only difference is mine does not seem to focus on anything - even macro.. Also - would yours work for a while after reset and then crash out again?
Have DJI shine any light on what was wrong having looked at your Mavic?
You probably accidently hit the joystick button (or what DJI call the 5d button), left to right causes the camera to zoom in or zoom out.
You just need to zoom out , by toggling and holding the joystick to the right
Check your C1/2 settings and the 5D button setting options. Look for one of the settings for AE lock. I believe the AE lock also locks the focus. If you had zoomed out (or in) and hit the AE lock the focus may still be locked in that position and unable to re focus. Also try switching between Manual (MF) and Auto (AF) Focus after resetting the AE.
Thanks for your suggestions. Pretty sure it’s neither the zoom or the exposure lock. Happens every flight and sometimes when turning on. Am pretty sure not accidentally hitting the 5d button and AE lock not set as an option. I did play with zoom and AE but neither messed up focus.

Nope, it got stuck someday and then never worked again. I brought it back to the store where I bought it. They changed it but didn't say what was wrong with it...

Thanks mate. Hope it wasn't that silly haha, wish I had tried though, but it seems pretty unlikely.
Sent it back, got a new one, never got to understand what happened...
Thanks for your help guys. I fixed this buy bringing it back to the store I bought if from. DJI France replaced it. It's a shame they didn't give any explanation...

in your video, it looks like AE lock is on in the upper right corner of the screen (little lock symbol next to AE).
