I've heard that all phones with the new OLED (like iPhone x) display a MUCH clearer image in broad daylight. By that I mean an image you can actually see clearly. I would like to hear more user experiences.

Just my own experience, you're mileage may vary:

I own a LG G6 (LCD Screen) and a Samsung Galaxy S6 (OLED) and have flown with both in direct sunlight, both with brightness set to full bright. Both have very good displays.  In my own experience, the OLED on my S6 was a tiny bit brighter than the LCD on my G6. The picture wasn't any more clear on either screen. Just a little brighter on the OLED. The type of screen shouldn't have any effect on how "clear" the picture is. Only how visible it is in different lighting conditions.
