Hi i'm italian and i'm in a dji mavic pro/air community on facebook that counts about 5k members and i create a poll to see how many people really want to sign a petition to let dji understand how much we will be grateful if dji decide to add Waypoint function to mavic air software. Now.... how many sign i have to reach to make this dream come true ?

firmware update is all we need hope it comes on the next firmware update

If SDK is released we will see many waypoint apps so hopefully soon.

It will come in time. Just be patient, DJI is likely working on the addition.

We all can't be lucky to have Waypoint enabled as we do in the Mavic Pro. That is why it's called Mavic PRO.

I would love to see  both the SDK so 3rd party apps support waypoints, and native waypoint support.  

Hi there all. I too own a mavic air and I bought one because I think I saw somewhere in this forum that the mavic air had waypoints feature when it was advertised. But DJI quetly removed it! So I asked support about it. With a few emai conversations, they told me this.(see the picture) very disappointing.

I'll chime in a vote. I would like to see waypoints enabled. It would improve my MA experience and flight plans.

The advertised waypoints before DJI removed it.

Buy Autopilot and use the waypoint functions on that.

Of course on models that support waypoints if the drone loses connection with the RC it stops the mission anyways

have you tried it and confirms it works?  I didn't think any 3rd party app could control a Mavic Air?  I own AutoPilot but didn't think to try it for that reason...  they have not updated that App for a very long time either.....  so I feel its a risk.

On phantoms and mavic pros, the mission continues to its conclusion regardless of whether the controller is connected.

The spark has no waypoint functionality built in but I understand third party apps can still run missions albeit the drone is still controlled by the app/controller at all times.

That I understand (That the controller is controlling the drone) with AutoPilot.  However, I didn't think with no SDK that AutoPilot could talk to the Mavic Air at all, to send flight path data as controller inputs?

I will have to see if this works this weekend...  but my gut says without the SDK even the way Waypoints is implemented with AutoPilot, it will not even talk to the Mavic Air, but maybe I will be surprised and learn it does work?

what is that S h i t! We got promised it on forum long time ago.... then every week or so they push date of relasing it later and later....
last time it was said that SDK for air should be around end of march. now we got april and still no sign of it...  what a joke!

I would be surprised if autopilot can even connect to the drone without an SDK for third party developers to work with. Even Litchi which I use is waiting for it to be released .

Oh and bring in course lock!!
