Hello! I have a big problem with my spark drone. Recently i have noticed that the video is really choppy when i tilt the camera. I have compared it to my friends spark, and it is not like mine... Watch the video for example. Do someone have the same problem? Or do someone know how to fix it?

What is the temperature when you operate Spark? It could be just a temperature factor that causes  the choppy effect due to the gimbal movement. Warm up the Spark or run several runs to see if the effect subsides.

Also adjust the gimbal speed to the low end it provides better effect of transition.

If none helps maybe it is time to contact DJI support.

The gimble speed on your friends spark rotates slower making a smoother transistion from camera pointing down to horizontal. Set your gimble speed to a slower setting.

Adjust gimbal speed on your RC settings to something 15-25. I use 20.

I have the same issue...I slow my gimbal speed down to 3.   A side note:  If the gimbal speed is set to 3 and you put your Spark 40 meters away from you or desired subject and just above the ground, you can go full forward on left stick (climb) and full gimbal down on gimbal wheel control (pull) at the same time and the drone will rapidly climb and camera will stay pointed at you or subject you chose.

I think I have my gimbal set at 3 as well.

I'll add to that that having one of your multi-function buttons set to jump the gimbal to horizontal or vertical is handy if your gimbal is set to move so slowly with the control.

I had a similar experience filming for the first time at night. I was in GPS mode and the YAW was a little jerky like when traveling in YAW on Sport Mode?

I don't know if it's common for this to happen at night since during the day my camera typically never did this before. I haven't flown it much since then but today I'm planning on taking her up.

Yes, faster shutterspeeds combined with motion will produce stuttery footage.
You generally want to stay somwhere near double your framerate.
(Spark shoots 30fps, so 1/60s shutterspeed is optimal)

Wouldn't that cause continuous stutter???  The video looks like an occasional stutter...

I think that was youtube causing the continuous stuttering.
I don't see it anymore.

Did your original video show the same choppy effect? I would recommend you upload to dropbox or google for further check. Thanks for your support.

This seem to occur with the original video in dropbox too. I haven't tried adjusting the shutter speed yet. I remember having it on 250. How does 250 affect the video?

Try using 180 degree shutter angle rule as a test, and see if it goes better.
You may need a ND filter on bright scenarios.

My camera problems are problematic in that when I go side to side in GPS Mode the camera shakes as if I was in Sport Mode, this never happened before but all of a sudden it is happening whenever I move the camera side to side?
