why is it that everything i buy or get I am forever having a hard time with it,  got my Ipad this morning, and anxiously attempted to download the DJI go 4 app,  no way it will not download,  keeps sending the message not compatible for this device,  why,  why is it that this always happens to me?  now i tried to transfer from my sony to the i pad but i need a 10 digit code and that is no where to be found,  i downloaded the app move to IOS no way,  I've had it,  tell me that it's a simple mistake ,  thank you.

NO!  thanks I will try that right now thanks,  will let you know if that worked, just went and checked and it tells me that my software is up to date  

Did you buy your iPad Mini 4 brand new from Apple or Apple authorized reseller?

Please don't take this the wrong way.  Go to Settings / General / About and copy down the Model number.
Then lookup Model number and make sure you have a iPad Mini 4.  It has happened before, a person was sold a iPad Mini 1.

Found another thread where a person had a iPad 4 and not iPad Mini 4.
The iPad 4 came out before iPad Mini4, and iPad 4 had different and slower processor than iPad Mini 4.  Which is why GO4 would not load.

hey picanoc - makes you wanna scream, right? i never imagined that owning a mavic would end up costing so much extra money and time and stress and frustration. You are not alone. i am pretty sure your ipad mini 4 just needs some tweeking and you will come right. i hope the ipad works out to be all you hoped it would be.

the software on the ipad is IOS 10.3.3  and apparently that is up to date.

well B1 I guess I'll have to go with that,  it's frustrating though, I mean I figured with this I pad my problems were solved not so,  oh well I'll get on with it tomorrow and hopefully will have everything resolved by next week.

The Ipad mini 4 is on the compatible mobile device list of the Mavic pro, but the Ipad 4 is not,  you are recommended to use the mobile device that on the compatible mobile device list.

I used an iPad mini 2 for a little while and it worked fine however I would recommend mini 4 over a mini 2.  

If the iOS device is on the iOS 10/11 it should be compatible..  regardless of model since that’s how Apple handles compatability. The dev has iPad and iPhone version so it will work on all that run the latest iOS....

A1458 is NOT a Mini 4, it is a 4th generation iPad made in 2012.
