I bought a DJI spark couple of weeks ago and just recently purchased a remote control have Likn together and seem to work but the red lights on the front of the Drone are never on is this okay

The front leds should turn red indeed.
Did it work before you used the remote?

You are sure the drone is connected to the Remote and the mobile is also connected to the remote (not to the drone?)

PS, if you want, please use the small 'Reply' word under a post you are answering to.
That way the user (in this case me) gets a notification.

So not 'just' reply in the bottom part, but hit 'Reply' and start typing in the screen that pops up.

You can see it worked by the grey quote area above.

Yes it is connected to the remote and not the Drone I have flown the Drone inside my home to be safe and it responds the way it should buy the remote. Just don't feel comfortable taking it outside and find it here flies away

Nope. As soon as I connected the remote they never came back on if I reset the Drone by holding it down for 9 seconds they flash but they never stay on red

You can try to reset the remote controller by doing the following:
1. Turn on the remote controller (leave the aircraft off)
2. Press and hold C1, C2, and the shutter button
3. Turn the remote controller off
4. Turn on the remote controller and release the buttons
5. Turn on the aircraft6. Re-Link the remote controller and the aircraft

I'm at work at the moment but I will try that when I get home thanks for the information

I don't think it's ok. Only time it goes off when you click REC button. May be someone could explain this better.

After initial power up the front lights should stay steady red at all times except when recording.

Hi, did you try to enter the DJI GO 4 app and see if there is any error message? I would recommend you check the aircraft status and keep us updated. Please try to flash the firmware of your spark with DJI Assistant 2 and see if it works well again.
