Is there a device that can indicate local wireless interference?

As per subject line... does anyone know of a device that can do a multiband check on wireless 'interfernce/competing signals' at one's launch site - before flying the drone?
My flight today was interrupted by over 23 loss of data/disconnection signals. At the inital launch and checkout phase, the Mavic went up to the 6 meter hover (to set precision landing) and when I moved the Left/Up stick on the RC - nothing ... lost all stick control - then the Go4 App disconnected, but the RC was still showing control information (GPS etc.). Anyway after a number of further Go4 disconnects, while still in the hover mode - I rebooted the Crysalsky a few times and eventually a working connection was established. So I flew off a bit to see if the connection would hold - which it did on an off. Anyway seems I will need to go through a bunch of tests to try and findout why the constant disconnects and dodgy control even when the signal is at 5 bars. It would be good to know what is causing the bad signal dropouts, and a device that can indicate this other than the drone itself(!) would be useful.

The area I was flying is an open public heath (flat grass in all directions for 1km plus) in a Class D space - but well away from the nearest airport.

Here's a snapshot of the inflight notices (airdata site).

Which version of DJI Go 4 are you running, I'd be tempted to delete and reinstall that first. I wonder if these are false reports ?

What happens if you try a different location ?

I think the lower the sensitivity setting on the detector while still getting a warning the more cluttered the area is.

I use WIFI-Analyzer for Android, works great for examining best wifi channels for your home wifi setup, but its really local, its not going to pick up what interference you can expect at 100 or 150 from your current location.

Remember it is not only wifi or these metal objects that can cause interference to your drone while you are flying there are many causes of interference which some are not detectable by apps

Thanks for that. Most helpful with the analogue pickup too.

I should have given the setup details.
Using a Crystalsky monitor with DJI clamp attached to the Mavic RC unit. Running the native Android OS ver. V02.05.00.00 and Go4 app ver. v4.2.4 (276.dpadcs). Also Mavic Pro Plat & RC running the latest .300 firmwares.

Hi, its a screen-grab from the airdata.com (free account) which gets updated with your DJI flight records once you've linked your DJI account(s) to the airdata account - and synced your flight records from the Go4 app.

Oh, I'll have to look into airdata.com - I think it was advertised on the FAA's website for Drone Registration?

I always use my iPad Pro 9.7 WiFi only. But I also always wear my Apple Watch Cellular when I fly. It only gave me interference when I was on an island. But whenever I fly in Apollo XI, I don't get mag interference warning from it but from the RC's around me specifically the choppers that are doing air stunt. Once they land and turn off the RC, I don't get the warning.

I haven't checked into it for a few years, but I used to have an app that gave me all kinds of info for my Android.  Haven't even thought of it since switching to the fruity one (Apple).

That will be my next 'test' plus swapping over to an iPhone for the process of elimination. My suspicion is that the location is a high likelihood for the interference, as the disconnects seemed worst when both drone and RC were in close proximity - the Mavic seemed pretty solid when at height. I'll report back on this thread my findings.

Just got back from flying from the same location but now using my iPhone 8 and Go4 ver 4.2.8 - no errors at all! So something's off with my Crystalsky it would seem. I'll do a factory reset and start a fresh build on it and see if that fixes the dodgy performance.

That's good news then, pins it down a bit. I wonder if it could it be the Crystal Sky generating the interference, which it then goes on to report after RC has detected it
